MEET THE TEAM

Jessica Simone Parson-Umo has spent more than 10 years working in the event production industry.  She began her career in television production as a production coordinator for companies such as MTV Networks, Nickelodeon, and CBS.  You can find production credits for Jessica on shows such as the Annual Macy’s Thanksgiving Parade, BET Honors, and the MTV Music Video Awards.  After many years of maintaining a successful career in the television field, Jessica decided to switch paths and focus solely on corporate meetings and strategic event planning in the Washington Metropolitan area.  Over the years, Jessica was fortunate to develop professional relationships with event vendors and event technology companies throughout the area, which has allowed her to learn and understand the needs that are currently being presented in the industry.  Jessica currently holds her Advanced Event Management Certification through the event technology power company, Cvent® as well as her Certified Meeting Professional certificate through Events Industry Council®.  She enjoys working with teams, meeting new people, and creating innovative ideas to move the event planning industry forward.

JaQuan joins the Elevated Event Group team as an Event Associate with just over 5 years of experience.  With a true passion for Hospitality, and proven client relationship skills, he is truly a gem in the industry. Acquiring his Bachelors degree in Hospitality Management, from Virginia State University in 2015, JaQuan quickly thrust into a career of connecting with and serving clients through genuine care, and humility.  Holding various roles within the Meetings and Events sector in Hotels and Universities, he is eager to continue making his mark in such an ever changing industry. With the life motto of “Be at peace, not in pieces,” JaQuan is definitely the calm to any storm someone would want at their side.
